Air Purification for Schools & Daycare

Classrooms hold more people per square foot than almost any other room, for hours at a time. AURA adds quiet, continuous air treatment to the rooms where children and staff spend their day, with no filters for maintenance teams to change.

The air challenge in schools

  • Full rooms, all day. Twenty or more people sharing the same air with the door closed.
  • Nap rooms and nurseries where little ones sleep in the same room every afternoon.
  • Odors from lunches, diaper changes, art supplies and gym clothes.
  • Musty portables and older buildings that sit closed over weekends and holidays.
  • Tight budgets that make ongoing filter replacement hard to sustain.

How AURA helps

AURA uses cold plasma to treat the air inside the room it sits in. It oxidizes certain odor molecules and VOCs, charges fine particles so they settle or are caught by the HVAC filter, and can inactivate certain bacteria, viruses and mold spores under tested conditions.

It runs quietly, draws 20 W at most, and has no consumables, so the running cost per classroom stays low.

Where to place units

Space Why it matters Suggested units
Classrooms Highest occupancy, longest hours 1 per 376 sq ft; a typical classroom takes 2 or more
Nap rooms and infant rooms Daily sleep in shared air 1 per room, mounted high
Changing areas Odor at the source 1, away from sinks
Nurse's office Small room, unwell visitors 1
Staff room Breaks and lunches 1

Good to know

  • Mount out of reach. Use the two-point wall mount, high on the wall, so children cannot touch the unit, its cable or the BOOST dial.
  • With BOOST off, AURA is designed for continuous use in occupied rooms. BOOST is for trained personnel only, in unoccupied spaces, and should be confirmed off at installation.
  • AURA supplements ventilation, HVAC filtration and cleaning routines. It does not replace ventilation required by building codes or health guidance.
  • Children or staff with respiratory sensitivities should check with a physician before extended use of any air treatment device.
  • For district or multi-site projects, request a placement plan and quote.

Not a medical device; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Laboratory results reflect specific test conditions and vary with room size, airflow, installation and use. Ozone statements apply with BOOST off.
