Patients notice the air the moment they walk in. AURA adds continuous, filter-free air treatment to waiting rooms, treatment rooms and staff areas, as a supplement to the infection-control practices your practice already follows.
The air challenge in a practice
- Shared waiting rooms where patients sit together, sometimes for a while.
- Treatment-room odors from dental materials, disinfectants and procedures.
- Back-to-back appointments in the same small, closed room.
- Staff spending full shifts in the same indoor air.
How AURA helps
AURA uses cold plasma to treat the air inside the room it sits in. It can inactivate certain bacteria, viruses and mold spores under tested conditions, oxidizes certain odor molecules and VOCs, and charges fine particles so they settle or are caught by your HVAC filter.
| Result | What was tested |
|---|---|
| 99.99% | Reduction of human coronavirus 229E after 1 hour of exposure in a controlled lab test (AGQ Labs / Diagnotec, Chile) |
| ~100% | Reduction of airborne bacteria in a working office after 30 minutes (Lab San Martín, Costa Rica) |
| 95.45% | Reduction of airborne bacteria in a controlled room, best result (IIBCE, Uruguay) |
These results reflect each laboratory's test conditions and are not claims about preventing infection in a clinical setting. How to read our lab results.
Where to place units
| Space | Why it matters | Suggested units |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting room | Patients share the same air | 1 per 376 sq ft |
| Treatment and operatory rooms | Odors and back-to-back appointments | 1 per room |
| Consultation rooms | Small rooms, doors closed | 1 |
| Sterilization and lab areas | Chemical and material odors | 1, away from sinks and wet areas |
| Staff room | Full shifts in the same air | 1 |
Good to know
- With BOOST off, AURA is designed for continuous use in occupied rooms, with an ozone design target below 0.01 ppm. BOOST is for trained personnel only, in unoccupied rooms.
- Never aim a unit at anyone's face. Mount on a wall or set on a counter, grilles clear.
- No filters means no contaminated media to handle or dispose of.
- Full lab reports and the technical sheet are available for your compliance files. Request them here.
AURA supplements HVAC filtration, ventilation and infection-control protocols; it does not replace them. Not a medical device; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Ozone statements apply with BOOST off.
